Simranjit Singh Mann of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) has attributed his victory after winning the Sangrur Lok Sabha seat to the victory of his workers and the training of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.

Simranjit Singh Mann further said that Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale had shown the way of living through peaceful struggle, it is his victory.

“We have broken the back of all major parties like Congress, Akali Dal and AAP. And this victory will also have an effect on world politics. After a long time, his party has won. The courage of the people is high and they will not sit silent.”

Deep Sidhu and Sidhu Musewala also remembered

Simranjit Singh Mann also remembered actor Deep Singh Sidhu, who lost his life in a road accident in February, and Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, who was shot dead in May.

He said, “The testimony given by Deep Singh Sidhu and Sidhu Musewala has benefited the Sikh community all over the world. The Sikh community can no longer be treated the same way as Muslims are treated in India.”

Simranjit Singh Mann won the Sangrur Lok Sabha seat by defeating Gurmail Singh of Aam Aadmi Party by 5,822 votes in the election results on Sunday.

The seat fell vacant after the resignation of Bhagwant Mann after becoming the chief minister of Punjab in March this year. Polling for this seat was held on June 23.

Simranjit Singh Mann has previously won the Lok Sabha elections twice in 1989 and 1999. In this way, now after 23 years, he will go to the Lok Sabha.
