Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar’s attack on American tycoon George Soros, saying he is bigoted and dangerous despite being old and rich, begs the question why India needs to be wary of him? External Affairs Minister also clarified it by saying that we are well aware that what happens when there is external interference? This means that George Soros is really trying to interfere in India. It is dangerous for him to say that the Adani case will lead to a revival of the democratic process in India. This means that they are still seeing a flaw in Indian democracy.
There is also a fact that he does not consider Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a democrat. There is no dearth of people who believe like this, but if people like George Soros try to interfere in India because of this belief, then it cannot be accepted. There is a need to be careful about the intentions of George Soros because he has intervened in many countries in various ways. Apart from this, his close associates have been involved in such activities in India, which were going to create problems for the government.
George Soros is not the only one to look down on India and its leaders. There is no dearth of people like him in the West. They not only look at developing countries like India from their narrow point of view, but also try to change the system there according to them. Western media also has a part among those who have such desire. Recently, the documentary made by BBC on the Indian Prime Minister, has revealed his bias towards India. Western media have set different standards for themselves and other countries. He also continues to display them shamelessly. The irony is that a part of the Indian media also works under its influence. By doing this he makes the work of people like George Soros easy.
Will the BBC ever dare to tell how devastation was caused in India by Winston Churchill’s policies? The BBC and the people of Britain may see Churchill as a hero, but for Indians he will always be a villain, because his actions were those of villains. Will BBC ever show how western countries have brought Iraq, Libya, Syria etc countries to the pit in the name of democracy? The West obsessed with superiority has to beware of it until it comes out of thinking that the rest of the world should follow in its footsteps.
