As on today, August 10, 2020, it is now exactly 370 days since the abrogation of Article 370. It was a bold step by the Modi Government to scrap the Article 370 and making J&K a Union Territory. This move was planned to pave way for development in the valley. Let’s have a look at the major developments after 370 days:

  1. 73% drop in Martyrdom of Security Forces Personnel in Jammu and Kashmir.
  2. Number of Kashmiri youths joining terrorist ranks has dropped more than 40%.
  3. Doda, Tral, Chenab Valley and Srinagar have been declared “Terror Free”.
  4. Security Forces have eliminated 136 terrorists this year.
  5. The entire ranks of Hijbul and LeT have been killed by the Security Forces.
  6. “Operation Maa” was launched by the Indian Army. More than 60 local youth have been pulled away from terrorism till now.
  7. J & K households to get free INR 5 lakhs Health Insurance Cover.
  8. Around 50,000 toilets built under the Swachh Bharat Mission.

  10. Jhelum Flood mitigation project (Phase – 1) completed.
  11. 7 new medical colleges and 50 new degree colleges started.
  12. India begins work on tunnels along the border with China.
  13. More than 3,55,000 beneficiaries covered under SAUBHAGYA.
  14. More than 15,90,000 beneficiaries under UJALA.
  15. More than 12,60,000 beneficiaries under PM Ujjwala Yojna.
  16. More than 74,000 candidates approved under HIMAYAT for training.
  17. More than 9,80,000 beneficiaries under PM KISAN Yojna.
  18. Around 1,50,000 houses (Rural & Urban) sanctioned under PM Awas Yojna.

As the data is enough to speak, it is very clear that scraping Article 370 was indeed one of the best moves by the Modi Government. It was BJP’s agenda since very long, it is now fulfilled and delivering fruitful results.
