Hindu Makkal Katchi’s head Arjun Sampath has unsparingly lambasted the Congress, DMK and Left parties for unabashedly glorifying Evangelist Stan Swamy who not only indulged in illegal conversions but also had deep connections with the murderous Maoists plotting to overthrow democracy and usurp power through an armed revolution.
On July 8th Arjun Sampath reportedly stated, “Stanislaus Lourduswamy, popularly called Stan Swamy, 83 years old, was arrested for plotting to assassinate the Prime Minister of India and died in prison due to corona infection, has been hailed as a human rights activist and social activist. People who hail him also accused the Central Government and the intelligence agencies of his death.”
Arjun Sampath condemned Chief Minister MK Stalin for condoling the death of Evangelist-Maoist Stan Swamy. Sampath said, “Chief Minister MK Stalin has issued a condolence on Pastor Stan Swamy’s death making him look like a national martyr who went to prison fighting for the rights of the tribals, while the truth is that the National Intelligence Agency had charged him for being a Maoist, inciting violence and terrorism against the country.”
Arjun Sampath castigated the Congress party for organising a march in support of Evangelist-Maoist Stan Swamy from the party’s headquarters in Tamil Nadu seeking action against officials for his death. He criticised the Congress party for promoting Maoist terrorism and secessionism being a national party. He denounced Congress for not learning from the past history even after suffering the assassination of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi for supporting Stan Swamy, making a martyr out of anti-nationals.
He said, “The DMK government is already listening to the views of Naxals, separatists, anti-nationals, anti-Modi propagandists, those who are working against the central government and those who are trying to destabilise the central government. It is highly reprehensible for political parties in Tamil Nadu to register their views in support of Urban Naxalites like Stan Swamy.”
Arjun Sampath concluded by urging the central government to be vigilant and not let pro-terrorist and pro-separatist atmosphere to be promoted in Tamil Nadu.
