During a debate on the disputed construction at Gyanvapi on May 24, Hindu side lawyer Vishnu Jain claimed that the Muslim side desecrated the Shivling in order to build a fountain-like structure. He went on to say that a 63cm hole was made in the Shivling to give it the appearance of a fountain.

Vishnu Jain while debating on CNN-The News18’s Right Stand, which was hosted by anchor Anand Narasimhan, he stated that they can undoubtedly demonstrate that the case is viable. “Yesterday, I filed a motion in court requesting that the commission’s report be read alongside the maintainability issue while examining the case’s maintainability. The policemen from both sides have been requested by the court. The question now is whether the facility is still a Hindu temple or if it has been transformed into a mosque. If you look at the ground reality after you submit the report, you will see my deity standing there. My divinity can be seen there. There, my deity is Viraajman.”

 

He further stated Who benefits from the Places of Worship Act, I wonder? They’re discussing section 4. I’d like to suggest that they take a look at section 3. No one can modify the religious character of the property in question once the Act takes effect. It is undeniable that my deity has been stomped on for many years. Sacrilege has occurred. I’d like to ask Maulana Ji a question. We’ve submitted an application to demolish the wall in Wazukhana and measure the size of the structure you refer to as a fountain. Let’s investigate the source of the water. However, it is being challenged in court by your lawyers. How come you and your supporters make contradicting statements? If you truly believe it is a fountain, please join the cause and notify the court that the wall at Wazukahana should be demolished.

Jain alleged that as a fact shivling was in Wazukhana and they committed sacrilege. They used cement to build a structure over shivling. They have restored structure in their storeroom. They attempted to demolish the structure a few days ago but were prevented by the CRPF. We know they committed desecration against our god. We’re battling for it. We’ve discovered the Shivling, and it’s every Hindu’s responsibility to worship it.

When Maulana asserted that we respect Hindus and their faith, Jain retaliated by saying, “Your advocates said in Supreme Court that wazu must happen there, What kind of respect is this?”

When Anand questioned Jain about the purported incident in which the Muslim side attempted to remove the so-called fountain structure from the premises, he stated, “I am speaking with complete authority.” They still have the structure they built for the Shivling in their cellar. They were attempting to get rid of it. In court, we will exhibit video and photographs of the warehouse. We’ll show the court how they desecrated the Shivling. We’ll demonstrate how a 63cm hole was drilled in the Shivling.
