Suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma has once again reached the Supreme Court. This time she has demanded a stay on the arrest in the Prophet’s commentary. Nupur Sharma has said that after the strong remarks of the Supreme Court in the past, she has started receiving more threats. Nupur Sharma quoted some Islamic Hadith on Prophet Mohammad during a TV debate two months ago. After that, there has been a lot of controversy in this matter. Many Islamic countries had also objected to it.
Significantly, even before this Nupur Sharma had reached the Supreme Court and she had demanded a hearing on the FIRs registered in different parts of the country at one place. However, the top court had denied this and had also commented some strong things for it, which although didn’t go down well with the citizens and largely Hindus across the globe.
Renewed Threats –
The petition is scheduled to be heard tomorrow. The hearing will be done by a bench of Justice Surya Kant and Justice JB Pardiwala. In her latest petition, Nupur Sharma has also cited new threats and her criticism. She has said that he is getting repeated threats of rape and murder. It is worth mentioning that two people have also lost their lives for supporting Nupur Sharma and have been beheaded by Islamic extremists in Rajasthan and Maharashtra, respectively.
The petition had been filed earlier too, in the petition that
Nupur Sharma had earlier filed in the Supreme Court, she had also told fear of life. Along with this, nine FIRs registered in different parts of the country were requested to be heard at one place. Then the Supreme Court had strongly reprimanded Nupur Sharma. To everyone’s dismay, the court had instead held her responsible for the worse situation in the country. Thereafter she had withdrawn her petition.
