The dream of the Presidential Candidate of Opposition to turn down some of the landmark decisions of current BJP government shattered. Yashwant Sinha asked the voters to listen to their “Antaratma ki aawaz” before voting. As a result, more than 104 MLAs cross voted in favour of Draupadi Murmu.

The Chief Justice of India (CJI) will administer the 64-year-oath old’s of office on July 25, one day after outgoing President Ram Nath Kovind leaves office.After Pratibha Patil, Murmu is the second female president of India. Additionally, she is the first tribal woman to hold the nation’s top constitutional position.PC Mody, Secretary General, Rajya Sabha stated “So, up to this (third) round, the cumulative total is – total valid votes is 3219 with a total value of 8,38,839 of which Droupadi Murmu gets 2161 votes of the value of 5,77,777. Yashwant Sinha get 1058 votes of the value of 2,61,062,”.
