Sheikh Hasina wants to strengthen international relations with Pakistan. This time She sent an invitation to Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan to Bangladesh for that purpose. The Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has informed Imran Khan in writing that she has accepted the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan to visit Pakistan. Besides, She is also inviting Imran Khan to visit Bangladesh.

Pakistan has proposed to prepare a road map for the Prime Minister’s visit to Bangladesh. In fact, Islamabad is seeking a resumption of bilateral talks, such as the Foreign Secretaries’ Dialogue, which has not been held for nearly 13 years. A statement from Pakistan’s foreign ministry said the two sides had agreed to improve relations between the two countries. In the last 11 months, Pakistan’s High Commissioner Imran Ahmed Siddiqui has had two meetings with Sheikh Hasina.According to Pakistani media sources, Pakistan-Bangladesh relations deteriorated after Sheikh Hasina started her second term as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh in 2009. But last year, relations between the two countries began to improve. Pakistan-Bangladesh relations are thought to have improved since the Delhi-Dhaka relationship deteriorated after India’s controversial Citizenship Amendment Act was enacted last year.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office says Pakistan’s High Commissioner has conveyed a message of goodwill and friendship to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the people of Bangladesh. He also presented a photo album of the late Prime Minister Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s visit to Pakistan in 1974 at the OIC conference. Later, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina thanked the High Commissioner for the gift and also responded to the greeting message of Imran Khan.
