BJP MLA Tiger Raja Singh, who was arrested on Tuesday for remarks he made about the Prophet, resisted being expelled from the party, insisting that he had done nothing wrong and would continue to be a “faithful foot soldier” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. While speaking to media, T Raja Singh bravely stated “More than the party, protecting dharma is important.”

While social media networks removed the alleged offensive video that sparked the reaction and led to calls for Raja’s beheading, the MLA threatened to release “part two” of the footage, which supposedly contains even more offensive comments.

Raia was accused by the police of inciting animosity between various groups, upsetting religious sensibilities, doing intentional and malicious acts, and using criminal intimidation in two separate cases filed in Dabeerpura and Mangalhat. A police spokesman stated, “We have been receiving complaints against him at several police stations throughout the city. Every case will be combined.”

Raja instigated the incident by adamantly refusing to permit stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui to appear in Hyderabad on August 21 and threatening to torch the venue if the performance wasn’t postponed. After the TRS government announced that Faruqui would perform in the city as planned on August 20, after that T Raja Singh appeared on the video that resulted in his arrest. He even aired it on a local TV channel.
