Police detained a DYFI activist for allegedly tampering with the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) test. Semi Khan, 21 years old a member of the DYFI regional committee in Madathara, has been named as the accused. The incident is of Kollam city, Kerala.
Semi Khan allegedly fabricated a marksheet with better scores after failing to qualify for the NEET exam in 2021–2022, and he then filed a petition in the high court complaining that he was denied admission for further study despite receiving 468 marks.
The court then ordered the rural SP to conduct an investigation into the occurrence and summoned representatives from the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The fraud was discovered during the investigation by the cyber cell and Chithara police. Police reports indicate that Semi Khan only obtained 16 marks in the NEET exam. Semi Khan was arrested after being asked questions related to the subject for the whole day.
