“You said, humans are social animal. They are our refined specie because of their cerebral cortex. They are social. My foot?”

They are constantly on the neck of each other.

Lion eats deer. But to fulfil his need of hunger; not killing mindlessly.

These guys, so called social, kill each other mindlessly.

Have you seen school shootings, club shootings, and what not.

Extortionists and Exorcists.

Now let me come back to us.

They eat us. No regrets if they don’t have vegetation to survive in Ice lands and expansive deserts. It is Ok. But they should be then thankful to us and be humane.

But what about where they have vegetation?

A still bigger question: Why they kill us so mercilessly?

Killing with or without prayer doesn’t reduce our pain.

Every political leader supports stunning before killing us, except religious slaughter.

Do you see the double standards of politicians?

Do you think stunning is a great comfort to us?

Let me tell you, how electrical water-bath stunning is done for poultry killing.

  • Birds are hung upside down by their legs on metal shackles along a moving conveyor belt.
  • They move along the production line to a stunning water bath; when the bird’s head makes contact with the water, an electrical circuit between the water bath and shackle is completed, which stuns the bird.
  • The conveyor belt then moves the birds to a mechanical neck cutter, which cuts the major blood vessels in the neck.
  • Live bird shackling causes pain, and hanging birds by their legs is stressful for them. (https://www.rspca.org.uk/

And in a number of slaughterhouses, we are still manually clubbed to make us unconscious before killing. You may like to see ‘These Photos Are Painful, But We All Need to See Them’ By Ellyn Kail on December 15, 2020 (https://www.featureshoot.com/)

I have heard sane voices among them who say, if slaughter houses have glass walls no one will eat meat.

Did you hear about halal?  Halal in a language spoken in a certain part of the World is the opposite of Haraam.

Haraam usually mean it is ‘forbidden’. And Halal means it is ‘permissible’. Over years, Halal has come to be perceived as pure and quality, which originally was nothing of the sort. It was a do, and Haraam a don’t.

These two words, halal and haram have their context in the Arab and Islam.

In Islam, Haraam refers to anything that is prohibited in the Qur’ran or would result in sin when committed by a Muslim. For example adultery, murder or money obtained through cheating or stealing. It can also refer to certain foods and drinks such as pork or alcohol, that are considered Haraam. (https://arabiconline.eu/)

But there is  ‘halal meat’ in Islam; that is from animals slaughtered under the way and the name of God.

Followers of other religions than Islam like Sikhs and Hindus go for ‘Jhatka Meat’. Jews have shechita (Kosher) Meat. Kosher is no different from Halal except absence of prayer before slaughter. Christians, interestingly, see meat as meat, and welcome all.

What is the difference between Halal Meat and Jhatka Meat?

The Halal form of slaughtering animals or poultry, dhabiha, involves killing through a cut to the jugular vein, carotid artery and windpipe. Animals must be alive and healthy at the time of slaughter and all blood is drained from the carcass. During the process, a Muslim will recite a dedication, know as tasmiya or shahada. There is debate about elements of halal, such as whether stunning is allowed. Stunning cannot be used to kill an animal, according to the Halal Food Authority (HFA), a non-profit organisation that monitors adherence to halal principles. But it can be used if the animal survives and is then killed by halal methods, the HFA adds. (https://www.bbc.com/)

Stunning is making the animals unconscious (stunned using electricity, gas, or a stun gun) before being killed.

In Jhatka way of slaughter, the cut is made at the dorsal (back) side of the neck to dislodge the entire spinal column from the skull; in this way it not only leads to cervical dislocation but also decapitation (beheading) in a single blow.

Hear them debating Halal vs Jhatka.

O’ they will deploy their scientific voices. They talk about pH count.

What the hell pH Count?

You want pH count to be a bit low to keep meat tender and juicy. You say Jhatka meat is tough and dry. Interestingly, as per their scientific voices, the pH count between Halal and Jhatka varies between 5 to 7.

You deploy highly paid corporate executives to make articulated speeches on the left and right. But they are the children of the money, profit, Return on Investment and their personal promotion, compensation, golden handshakes and golden parashoots.

Funniest is these corporate creative honchos classifying many other food items (far away from the procedure of slaughtering we, the animals) including spices as Halal and Halal Certified to push their sales and revenue. They forget that obtaining money through cheating (misrepresentation or fraud or puffing) is Haraam.

Hey, where is your humanity?

First, why kill us where vegetation is available to eat?

Two, if you kill us because you have nothing else to eat in ice lands and deserts, be humane.

Don’t forget vegetation is much better for your health. Look at us, we have all been vegetarian only; goat, sheep, cow, buffalo, chicken, piglet, whom you eat for nutrients. I don’t know whether you know or not, nature has given you all kinds of nuts full of nutrients. See, nut and nut-rients sound so much the same. O’ if you find us low cost; don’t be miser (I would avoid calling mean), be humane.

You call us  Voiceless, because we don’t speak your language; we don’t hurle abuses and curses like you do.

You may, by our rough count, have more than 1000 Animal Rights and Welfare groups, all over the world, known by very fancy names, collecting tones of money in donations, preparing and publishing complex Indices like VACI.

The Voiceless Animal Cruelty Index (VACI), you know,  calculates three indices for deliberate or willfully ignorant animal mistreatment in 50 countries with high agricultural output. These are animal slaughter (Producing Cruelty), animal consumption (Enabling Cruelty), and laws protecting farmed animals (Sanctioning Cruelty).

And you take, great pride in saying that overall VACI rank showed a Kuznets effect with per capita Purchasing Power Parity (PPP).

But on ground, despite all these animal rights and welfare groups, the reality has not changed much.

Stop all this nonsense and be humane. If you are not social, conscious of the complementarity of each and every element of nature, created by Almighty,  and the society, balance of the environment, please don’t call yourself social animal, not even animal.

Thank you for consideration and understanding.
