The entry of such persons during Chardham Yatra will be completely barred in the state.

Uttarakhand Police will conduct intensive verification campaign for 10 days in the entire state from Thursday. During this verification of people, street vendors and tenants living in Uttarakhand for 10 years will be done. Daily report of the campaign will be sent from every district to the police headquarters.

On Wednesday, DGP Ashok Kumar said that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed to conduct a verification drive in the state so that it can help in maintaining law and order in the state. For this, a meeting was held on Wednesday evening with the police in-charges of all the districts along with Garhwal and Kumaon range through video conferencing. He directed to conduct intensive verification campaign in all the districts. Said that if anyone is living in any part of the state without verification for a long time, then action will be taken against him as per rules.

Operation Clean Sweep: Keeping a close watch on the activities in the mixed population,

DGP said that instructions have been given to keep a close watch on those who disturb social harmony. For this, Operation Clean Sweep will be run. Social media is also being monitored. Those who try to disturb harmony will be marked. Special vigil will be kept in all the districts in the mixed population areas so that if any activity is found unpleasant, timely action can be taken.

For 10 days, all the police stations will participate in the campaign in their respective areas.
