On Sunday in the Azamgarh district (May 29, 2022), a conversion case was discovered, when some members of Hindu organizations went to a gathering. The accused, Moharil, had assembled people in the Kandharapur area in the pretence of treating the bad spirit.

According to reports, Moharil has converted roughly 100 people so far. He used to do this by holding meetings in people’s homes and putting up banners and other decorations. Hundreds of people were observed praying with holy books in their hands when Hindu organisations arrived on the scene on the day of the event. When asked, Moharil described the gathering as a healing session.

When the Hindu organization’s members were arguing with Moharil, some of the girls who had arrived began arguing with the Hindu organization’s members. Moharil was finally found to have been constituted without administrative approval. During the squabble, the cops arrived on the scene. Moharil was apprehended by the police. A charge has been filed against Moharil under the Anti-Conversion Act, according to the SP City of Azamgarh.

In another incident of conversion, Two people were arrested in the Behat police station area of Saharanpur district in an attempt to convert. IPS Akash Tomar, SSP Saharanpur informed, “Ajay and Anil are the names of those arrested on Sunday, May 29th, 2022. Both of them just converted to Christianity. The accused will face charges under the anti-conversion law and other sections.”

In the following video, members of Hindu organisations can be seen talking with the accused. Following the video’s argument, Hindu organisations request that the accused be taken to the police station. The accused was unable to respond appropriately to the question of prayer.
