Haryana Chief Minister came down heavily on the people who go for religious prayers in open without permission. Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar La Khattar categorically stated in the state assembly that No Religious prayers will be allowed and should not be done in open without permission.
Manohar Lal Khattar said ” People of all faiths hold prayers at designated religious places like temples mosques Gurudwaras and churches and permissions are given for all big festivals and programs in open. He further added “No member of any community should hold such programmes in open spaces. If they have to hold them, they should do so in temples, mosques, gurdwaras and churches. It is the responsibility of all to maintain a peaceful atmosphere and to see that there is no confrontation in society,”.
This is not the first time Haryana CM objected to Religious prayers at open. Few days ago the Chief Minister of Haryana lashed out at the muslim community for offering Namaz in open spaces and categorically stated them that namaz in open spaces won’t be tolerated.
Through his statement he mainly gave a statement on the Gurugram Namaz impasse where the muslim community was illegally offering namaz in open area and was trying to create a hateful atmosphere. He said that the Friday namaz should be offered in the place offered to them ie mosques and not in public places. Manohar Lal Khattar said “If someone offers Namaz at his place we have no problem in that. Such programs should not be held in the open. This practice of offering Namaz which has been done in the open will not be tolerated at all”. He further added “An amicable solution to the matter should and would be found,” he said. Offering public prayers is leading to clashes, he said and that should not happen. “We’d found a solution but that was found ineffective. There will be new talks to find a solution.”
