Priyanka Chaturvedi time and again proved herself as toughest competitor to her former boss, Rahul Gandhi. Again he came up to prove the same. Priyanka Chaturvedi of Shiv Sena recently came with a tweet where she blamed the Central Government for the hacking of personal account of Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. She also senselessly raised questions upon the cyber security by drawing false equivalence with the incident. She wrote “Prime Minister’s account hacked briefly. Cyber Security level exposed greatly. Good Morning.”

But it needs to be noted that Twitter accounts security is managed by Twitter, a private platform & not govt.PMO twitter account has the same level of security as any common citizen. Moreover, there have been cases when the twitter account of Indian National Congress and Rahul Gandhi were hacked. But that time Priyanka Chaturvedi was busy in parroting his boss.

The personal Twitter account of Bhartiya Prime Minister Narendra Modi got hacked for minutes before it got restored back. The Twitter account of the Prime Minister’s Office of India confirmed the incident and cleared the air. The handle of PMO office tweeted “The Twitter handle of PM @narendramodi was very briefly compromised. The matter was escalated to Twitter and the account has been immediately secured. In the brief period that the account was compromised, any Tweet shared must be ignored.”

The hacked personal account of Bhartiya Prime Minister came with a tweet where it promoted Bitcoins. The tweet was made from the hacked account at 2:07am. The tweet said ” India has officially adopted Bitcoin as legal lender. The government has officially bought 500 Bitcoins and is distributing them to all residents of the country.” Similar incident had occurred with the Twitter handle of Narendra Modi’s personal website @narendramodi_in in September 2020, with a series of tweets asking followers to donate to a relief fund through cryptocurrency.

After the account was hacked, report was send to the Twitter and account was restored within few minutes.
