What Rajdeep did in the name of interview on AajTak is nothing but brutal cold blooded character assassination of Sushant Singh Rajput , that too with the help of a known drug addict who is accused of murdering Sushant Singh Rajput.
On 27th August Evening, ED revealed that Rhea Chakraborty is involved in Drug Business and there is a possibility of Drug Mafia involvement in the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Next day morning, Rajdeep Sardesai was interviewing Rhea Chakraborty and trying everything to prove that Sushant Singh Rajput was having a mental disorder and Rhea Chakraborty is the most innocent woman on planet .
It is notable here that TV anchor Rajdeep Sardesai has been very critical of a police investigation into the suspicious death of the actor. Earlier he had asserted that Sushant’s family should “mourn in peace” and raised objections when a police investigation was initiated. However, when he was told by IPS officers that it is the law to investigate every unnatural death, he had deflected his assertions:
Later, when the CBI was asked to take up the probe, Rajdeep had again tweeted saying that while the nation battles floods and the coronavirus pandemic, CBI is being asked to investigate Sushant’s death. In his attempts to insinuate that state resources are being wasted, Sardesai had probably ignored that the pandemic and floods are not the CBI’s concern, but crimes are.
It must be remembered that Rajdeep Sardesai had earlier claimed that Sushant was not that big an actor for the Mumbai Police to be pressurised in the matter. Acting on the same bias throughout the interview with Rhea Chakraborty, it seems Rajdeep’s only motive was to provide the prime accused with a national platform to absolve herself. Rajdeep also does not shy away from referring to Rhea’s version as the “truth”.
Rajdeep Sardesai was blatantly sympathetic towards Rhea Chakraborty, and the same is visible from his recent social media trail. The alleged journalist had even accused Vikas Singh, lawyer of Sushant’s family of being a part of a ‘media trial’ against Rhea Chakraborty. Vikas Singh had subsequently walked out of the live show, of course after thoroughly exposing as to how Rajdeep and the channel he works for were pursuing the lawyer to appear on their screens.
The interview of Rhea Chakraborty with Rajdeep Sardesai did not receive a good response as netizens not only pointed several discrepancies in her statements but also pointed the hypocrisy of ‘journalist’ Rajdeep Sardesai for trying to whitewash the allegations against Rhea by carrying out an interview with an accused in the case.
While the investigation into the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death gains momentum with the involvement of as many as three central probe agencies, actor Rhea Chakraborty continues her efforts to establish that he was suffering from mental disorder. But the claims made by her does not match with known facts of Sushant, implying that she may be lying once again.
Rhea Chakraborty has been interviewed by journalist Rajdeep Sardesai on the India Today channel, which will be broadcast later in the day. But the channel posted a clip of the interview on Twitter, where she claimed that Sushant had claustrophobia of air travel and he was taking prescription medicine to treat it. But there are several loopholes in her claims.
In the clip posted by India Today, Rajdeep Sardesai starts with the assumption that Sushant was suffering from depression. He does not question the claim which has been vehemently denied by Sushant’s family and several friends, he starts by asking Rhea when she became aware that Sushant was suffering from depression. To this, Rhea answered that this was revealed before a trip with her to Europe. ‘On the day of the flight, Sushant told me and everyone that he has claustrophobia of sitting inside aircraft, and he was already taking a medicine for the same’, she said.
Rhea said that Sushant was taking a drug called Modafinil to overcome his claustrophobia of taking flights, which he took before the flight. She said that Sushant always carried Modafinil with him, and it was prescribed to him by psychiatrist Dr Harish Shetty. Rhea Chakraborty said that Sushant had told her that he had a depressive episode in 2013, and he was prescribed Modafinil by Dr Shetty at that time for his depression and anxiety.
In his interview with Rhea, Rajdeep Sardesai murdered Sushant Singh Rajput again. He clearly insinuated that Sushant Singh Rajput was suffering from the bipolar disease when in fact, there is no evidence to that effect.
Further, he failed to call out the blatant lies of Rhea when she claimed that Sushant Singh Rajput suffered from claustrophobia, a lie since he had undergone NASA training.
