ED Summons to Sunjay Raut's wife for Rs50 Lakhs transaction with PMC scam accused's wife shows the Shiv Sena needs to clean up its own house rather go on a witch hunt against its critics. Has the company of corrupt partners like NCP & INC infused corruption in Siv Sena?
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Shiv Sena’s prime leader Sanjay Raut’s wife, Varsha Raut for investigation in the Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative (PMC) Bank scam. Sources in the ED have indicated that Varsha Raut has been asked to appear before it on December 29 as reported widely in the media.
Sources also indicated that a Rs50 Lakh transaction of Varsha Raut with wife of another accused Praveen Raut who is close to Sunjay Raut is under the scanner. Varsha Raut is said to have brought property with the same amount which is supposed to be a loan borrowed by her for purchasing property.
BJP leader, Kirit Somaiya, well-known for his stands for seeking probity in public life has demanded that Sanjay Raut should explain if his family has any financial dealings with the scam accused.
This is a fall for the Shiv Sena as a party founded by Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray with ideals of clean politics with cultural Hindutva pride as its basic ideology. Many of Shiv Sena’s well wishers and followers were very surprised when Shiv Sena decided to join hands with corrupt and anti-Hindu parties like NCP and the INC which are accused of scamming the public ex-chequer to the tune of nearly 2 lakh crores in the 2G scam and various other scams in the UPA era.
Also, the way the Shiv Sena has gone on a witch hunt against Arnab Goswami and his media network Republic TV for reporting negative stories accusing the Shiv Sena for doing precious little in the horrendous blood curdling public lynching of 70-year-old Sadhu by the communist-Christian missionary terrorists which was abetted by Maharashtra Police playing a mute spectator at Palghar in Maharashtra. Goswami and all reporters of Republic TV have also been slapped with criminal cases for exposing the whitewash of the mysterious death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput as a case of suicide to cover up the role of Bollywood bigwigs and some politicians in Sushant’s un-natural death.
The Shiv Sena needs to clean up its own house and stop harassing Goswami and other common citizens for criticising the high-handed and dictatorial manner in which the Maharashtra government is functioning under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray reminiscent of the emergency era governance under Indira Gandhi if it does not have a death wish to be decimated politically. If the BJP puts up a good candidate like the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath as the Chief Ministerial candidate in future, the combined forces of Shiv Sena along with the corrupt INC and NCP cannot be an impediment to a sweeping victory in the hallowed land of the Great Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
