It is an irony that all Indians know about the Battles of Panipat. It is also an irony that not many have heard of the Battle of Bhopal which was fought in 1737 and changed the course of Indian history.

The Battle of Bhopal was fought in 1737 between the Maratha Empire and the Mughal Empire. The Marathas, led by Ranoji Scindia, were able to defeat the Mughals, led by the Governor of Malwa, Nasir Khan. The battle was fought in the region around the city of Bhopal, which is currently located in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

The Marathas, under the leadership of Ranoji Scindia, had been expanding their territory and challenging the Mughal Empire’s control in Central India. The Governor of Malwa, Nasir Khan, decided to take action and assembled a large army to stop the Marathas. The two sides met in battle near Bhopal, and after a fierce fight, the Marathas emerged victorious.

The Marathas established control over the region after the battle and this marked the beginning of their expansion into Central India. The defeat of the Mughals in the battle also marked a decline in Mughal power in the region. It was a key battle in the 18th century India, where Marathas challenged the Mughals and expanded their territories. The Battle of Bhopal was a great victory for the Marathas and also a turning point in the history of India. It marked the beginning of Maratha expansion into Central India, which was previously under the control of the Mughals.

The Marathas, under the leadership of Ranoji Scindia, continued to expand their territory and by 1740, they had captured the city of Delhi and established control over a large part of Northern India. The Battle of Bhopal was a significant event in the 18th century India, as it marked the beginning of the decline of the Mughal Empire and the rise of the Maratha Empire.

What do we learn from the above battle?

  1. The Maratha empire founded by Shivaji Maharaj was instrumental in saving Sanatan Dharma in India.
  2. The destruction of Mughal power gave a death blow to “Gazwa-e-Hind” project prophesized by many.
  3. The Russian sponsored Communist + Jihadi historians downgrade those events which has boosted Hindus at the cost of foreign Islamic rulers.
