The alleged social worker Medha Patkar is infamous for obstructing every developmental and infrastructure project. In the name of social work, she has joined the farmers’ protest and sometimes protested against CAA.

According to media reports, a case has been registered against Medha Patekar in Madhya Pradesh. It is alleged that Medha, the trustee of Narmada Navnirman Abhiyan, misused more than Rs 13.50 crore collected in the name of educating tribal children. Patkar instead used this money to organize protests against political activities and development projects.

This complaint has been lodged by Pritam Raj, 25, in Barwani, Madhya Pradesh. Apart from Medha Patekar, the names of 11 more people are there. A case has been filed against all of them under section 420 of IPC. According to the copy of the FIR, the complainant has accused the founder of Narmada Bachao Andolan, Medha Patekar and people associated with her, that these people mislead the public in the name of educating tribal children. Also, misuse of the funds collected for social work.

The complainant asserts that Patkar does not have a record of the funds raised for the tribal poor and their education between 2007 and 2022. Under the guise of a social worker, Medha Patkar solicited money from various sources. However, she made it clear that she will use this donation for the welfare of the Narmada Valley’s residents as well as to give Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra’s indigenous children access to primary education. However, Medha Patkar in this instance did not even spare the kids, stealing the money she received for their education. This donation, along with others, is allegedly what Medha Patkar utilised to further her political and anti-national goal.

In addition, the FIR states that Medha Patekar stated in the Indore court that she earned Rs 6000 per year, but between 2007 and 2021–2022 she collected Rs 19,25, 711.

Medha Patkar has frequently brought up a project or reform in which she discussed the “interest” of the underprivileged, particularly tribal people, but there is no mention of the source of the funding or the final destination. Medha Patkar has actually been attempting to deceive the public and governments by hiding social work. The black box of Medha Patkar, who has kept her grip on everything, is now opening in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, or Delhi, and its contents will soon be made public.
