Shivraj Patil’s Controversial Statement:
Senior Congress leader and former Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil has given an objectionable statement regarding Gita. Shivraj Patil said in the program of the release of a book in Delhi on Thursday (October 20) that in the Mahabharata, Shri Krishna tells Arjun about Jihad.
On the occasion of the release of Mohsina Kidwai’s book, Patil said, “The point of Jihad comes when, even after having a clean mind, no one understands after giving all the efforts. Then it is said that If you want to use power, then you should do it. It is not only in Quran Sharif, it is part of Gita inside Mahabharata, in that Shri Krishna ji also tells Arjun about Jihad. It is not only Quran and Gita. Rather, Jesus also wrote.”

Shivraj Patil forgot Kharge’s name
Former Home Minister Shivraj Patil addressed the newly elected Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge as “Khandelwal” at the launch event of senior Congress leader Mohsina Kidwai’s autobiography. Shashi Tharoor, Sushil Kumar Shinde were sitting next to him, but no one thought it necessary to interrupt him. Kharge had defeated Shashi Tharoor in the recent internal elections for the post of Congress President.
