Two Islamists who bombed a Hindu shrine at Bangkok in 2015 are tasting their own medicine. The hate which they used to kill innocents and to contaminate the sacredness of other faiths are now being used against them.

Two Islamists namely Adem Karadag and Yusufu Mieraili were the ones who bombed a Hindu shrine at Bangkok in 2015. They are identified as Uyghurs from Urumqi in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR) in China. These two Terrorists Adem Karadag and Yusufu Mieraili were involved in the blast that killed 20 people and injured more than 100 at the Erawan Shrine, a popular tourist site, on Aug. 17, 2015. It has one of the most deadliest terror attack in Thailand. They got arrested and since then these two have been kept the military’s Lak Si which is a temporary detention center.

While talking to the media personnels following their 3 hours long trial, these two jihadis said “We are not allowed to make any phone calls in prison, Our families have not heard from us or are even aware of our arrests in 2015.” They added “Some of the meals contain pork even though we are Muslims,” they said. “The hardest part is that we are not allowed to step outside of the building and do not get to see the sky.”.

The military court began hearing the charges against them in 2016 before the case was moved to a Bangkok civilian criminal court in 2019.
