On July 27, 2022, bomb threats were made against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) offices in Delhi. According to reports, a terrorist entered the VHP office and threatened to detonate it.

This information was disseminated by the VHP via its official Twitter account. The tweet adds, “Today, bomb threats were made against the offices of the RSS and VHP in Delhi. The VHP Delhi office bearer Shri Surendra Kumar Gupta turned over the jihadi who broke into the premises to the police. The Delhi Police is conducting more inquiries.”

The alleged teenager reportedly conducted reconnaissance at one location while threatening to detonate a bomb in an office at another location. “What are you saying about our Prophet, he asked? What do you think—you know, we have the solution. We’ll use bombs to blow up this office.”

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad office, which is housed on the second floor of the Jhandewalan temple, received a bomb threat this afternoon, according to the SHO of the Paharganj police station. We went there as soon as we heard the news and arrested the suspect. There are more questions being asked.

Surendra Kumar Gupta, the state general secretary, was at the Vishwa Hindu Parishad Delhi office when a guy entered at 12:18 pm and said, “Our boss has ordered that the entire building has to be blown up with a bomb.” The threat maker then made an effort to flee.
