Four persons have been detained by the Jaunpur police in Uttar Pradesh following the viral video of a Muslim mob yelling “Pakistan zindabad” and “sar tan se juda” during a Muharram procession. On Wednesday, August 10, the incident’s video quickly became popular on social media. According to reports, the event happened in the Karianv Bazar of Mirganj police station area of ​​Jaunpur.

A number of Muslims were taking part in the Tazia march on Wednesday night when some Islamists in the crowd began yelling offensive slogans and attempting to incite members of the other community.The police got in action after the video went viral. The individuals who screamed these slogans were detained after a FIR was filed. The Jaunpur police informed this on Twitter.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Rural said, “It had come to light that during the Tazia procession, some objectionable slogans were raised. There were videos of the incident, it was investigated and the accused were traced. Since it was objectionable FIR was registered and four people were arrested. Action being taken”
