Just as the matter of Islamization of schools in Jharkhand is catching pace on social media, similar cases related to Islamization are being exposed in other parts of the country as well. Meanwhile, some BJP leaders have been protesting against the soft attitude of the JMM-Congress-led Jharkhand government asking for the investigation of NIA.

On Monday, Jharkhand schools Nishikant Dubey, a member of the BJP, accused the Hemant Soren-led JMM-Congress coalition in Jharkhand of abusing the state’s educational system to pursue their motive of appeasement politics. While Speaking to ANI, Dubey said that their primary goal is to win votes and for that, they won’t hesitate to solicit the help of Pakistan, China, or Bangladesh.

Prior to this, Nishikant Dubey stated in zero hours that in 1800 schools of Jharkhand, Friday is being observed as a holiday instead of Sunday. “This is proof that the country is moving towards Islamization. Therefore, this matter should be investigated by NIA i.e. National Investigation Agency,” he added.

In a written reply to Anant Ojha by the education department, “In 407 schools around the state, Urdu was added at the municipal level, while 509 schools allegedly moved the weekly holiday from Sunday to Friday. The Jharkhand government had concurred with this and, on August 1, had issued a directive ordering the word ‘Urdu’ to be removed from institutions that had not been designated as Urdu Schools.”

Recently, BJP MPs demonstrated against “Islamizing” education in Jharkhand both inside and outside the Assembly. Along with other slogans, the MLAs shouted “Stop Islamization of Education” and “Stop Islamization of Jharkhand.”

BJP members waving placards stated that a strategy of appeasement has been in place since the JMM/Congress government took power. Anant Ojha, another BJP MLA stated that the administration had overstepped its bounds in an attempt to win over voters.
