It is worth mentioning that this book is one of the best selling books of 33rd Guwahati book fair.
The book titled “Lai Hale Jale” which is authored by Dr. Bora is a compilation of several articles written over a span of seven years in “Priyo Sakhi” a Popular Monthly Magazine for Women in Assamese language consisting of several questions asked upon various issues faced by parents for their child’s mental and physical health from the very first issue. Dr. Gokul Bora through his book answers these questions in a very didactical manner which is of great help to the parents to take care of their child’s health.

‘Lai Hale Jale’ is not only a question answer session for him but also a good way to communicate with parents for their problems and it was a sweet memory for him. Mother and guardians from different parts of Assam contacted him through letters to ‘Priyo Sakhi’. Inspite of repeated request of chief editor Phukan he had to stop writing after 7th year due to his heavy preoccupations. According to Dr. Bora the idea to make this question and answer session a book came due to the time available in the period of lockdown. He said once to his sister like former editor and literateur Smt. Jeemoni Choudhury that can this session be kept in the record so that people can read and know about this. She replied,” I am able to arrange it as a record”. On her request AngGik prakashan agreed to publish the question answer session as a book. Thus Lai Hale Jale became a book. The D.T.P of the book was done by Amal Barman and the cover page was designed by Manjit Rajkhowa whereas it was published by Baharul Islam Choudhury.
