A total ban for two months on social media except sharing India Today Group stories

In a very weird development, India Today Group has issued a gag order on all its employees including full time, part time, consultant, retainer or even third party.

As per this order personal social media handed of all India Today Group employees can only be used to post content or promotion that belongs to the group and has been used in the print, digital or on air and retweet that which is put on Group’s own handles.

Order clearly says, This means No replies, no retweets, unless its our own content, even if you are tagged.

It is further mentioned in the order that this will be “single line” social media policy for next two months. Any breach will invite disciplinary action including termination.
