Sankhya darshana is a distinctive contribution of India to world philosophy. It is a pity that it is not studied globally since it impacts not only metaphysics, but psychology, cosmogony, epistemology and soteriology. And it is one of the singular leaps in human thought that eventually, I believe, led to the flowering of Indic civilization, its world-view, its arts and sciences and its continued uniqueness.
Hindus, especially in cities, keep discarded idols open in the parks below some Peepal or Neem tries, as they don’t have a fair idea what to do with the old and broken idols. This, many a time, feels bad seeing ruins and idols of our deities thrown in the open. Sometimes, these discarded pieces of idols are used by miscreants of other religions, press, and media to target Hinduism.
Where did the Aryans come from? Anywhere but India. Though disproved, Aryan Invasion Theory still rules the minds of the scholarship world for whatever reasons. The model makes almost perfect sense if you look at it only in India. But, it falls flat on it's face when you expand your scope of study to encompass a larger area.
